Elizabeth Woodbridge Phelps Pearsall Resse was the daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth B. Phelps, who was active in the early club movement. The Revolution, the paper for which Susan B. Anthony was business manager, was for a time printed at Mrs. Phelp's house. Her daughter was first married to Robert W.
